I, along with few friends went to a trek near Bad Herrenalb soon after relocating to Karlsruhe. That was my very first experience of Germany's countryside and I absolutely loved it. Bad Herrenalb is a very small town at the foothills of Black forest range. Here's a picture from the archives.

I always thought I would go back for another trek, I just didn't think it would take me 2 Years. Especially, when Karlsruhe is so close to the Northern third of Black Forest. This time I was joined by my friend to a trek to Teufelsmühle [ English: Devil's Mill ]

The weather was cloudy when we started from Karlsruhe by S-bahn (Local train). By the time we reached Gernsbach, it started to rain. A prefect backdrop setting by nature for us to enjoy nature. Small villages en route and the landscape was outstanding. Here are some pictures from the trek.

Spoiler's Ahead. This is just another explanation (probably one of the many) that is sensible for me in most parts, after pondering upon the movie for about a day. Nolan always treats his fans graciously, delivering what we want - Magnanimous and intricate plot which is thought provoking . His proposition is not to solve the paradox that he portrayed in this film, but to look at it differently. He had done the same with Momento, Prestige, Inception and now with Interstellar.

Getting straight into the analysis:

Plan A always fails as long as they figure out how to harness gravity. So, the first humans took plan B(their only plan at that time) and created a colony on Edmund's planet. Eventually, they figured out how to solve and harness gravity ! How can they convey this message to the coming time fragment people ? Unless, they enter "the loop". That's the reason why "they" - fifth dimension people/future time frame people maintained an artificial worm hole near Saturn.

Now, how did the worm hole appear in the first place ? Worm holes are always created in nature (for a fraction of time). The first people accessed it when it occurred naturally and successfully executed Plan B.

Consider a causal loop, where every specific moment of time repeats itself continuously in every fragment of time. If that's the presumption, then in all frames earth would be destroyed and a colony in Edmund's planet would be set up. But when the people who are in advanced time frames were able to harness gravity, they were able to create a worm hole that's even accessible in a later time fragment.. because gravity is on one dimension above time...

So, a worm hole is permanently created near Saturn irrespective of time fragment... Now in order to convey 3D people (later time fragment/ or the fragment that the movie focuses) how to harness gravity so that they can set up a station (because saving earth is out of option, something going to happen will happen). In most films, it is generally shown that people travel back in time and change events.. (Like the grandfather paradox). However, here in the film it is showed that, the future time fragment people created a a worm hole permanently for people in the later fragment to travel to the nearest black hole and access the singularity. So that they can save themselves from extinction by learning about gravity by themselves. Similarly, saving Cooper from black hole by manipulating gravity.

If all this makes sense, then there might be another question unanswered. If Cooper was a part of the expedition to start a colony in Edmund's planet, then why did he send co-ordinates to himself ?
-Still pondering upon-

As always, Nolan's films are always to be looked at differently. If something not correct, then never hesitate. There is always one extra reason to watch his film again and again. :-D

I'm a big fan of Mahesh Babu. But before that I'm a die hard fan of Movies. There were mixed reviews for the film Nenokkadine since the day it was released. Some agree that, It was indeed a great movie ever made in Tollywood. Some, on the other hand consider it as a "Headache" [sic]. However lets delve deeper into the movie and dig some points which make Sukumar(my all time favorite) one of the best screenplay writers in Telugu Film Industry.

Sukumar is a man of perfection. He makes movies with lot of passion. He does what ever it takes to build the character and the emotion of the scene. There are a few scenes in Nenokkadine which are utterly subtle yet unimaginably appropriate to build the character / scene.

SPOILER ALERT (Do not read further, if you haven't watched the film yet. You have been warned :p )

1. The first chase scene in the movie defies the rules of physics. The car driven by Antonio (Kelly Dorji) does not spill water on its sides but Gautham's (Mahesh) bike does. Which inherently suggests that the some thing is not normal with the chase scene. Moreover, the bottle used by Gautham to kill Antonio does not have a trace of blood and the sensors based street lights which glow only when a vehicle passes through the tunnel. All suggest only one thing - Its Gautham's Hallucination

2. Rubik's Cube. We can see Gautham solving the Rubik's cube around 5 times in the movie, but in all five times he does not solve the cube completely but stop exactly when all faces of the cube have a  particular pattern which is one color around the borders and another color in the center. And that is the exact reason why Gautham's father etches the logo of the bank and the password on the Rubik's Cube.

3. This one is my favorite, When Gautham is asked about his destination at the airport, He watches a kid and speaks (in his mind) "Mumbai, Delhi, Goa..Mumbai, Delhi, Goa" with the footsteps of the kid until the kid's mother catches hold of him.

This scene is very much appropriate for the plot because
a) Prior to the above scene we get a voice over which says "Andaru ane abbadhaniki nenu namme nijaniki degaraga velthuna" and we also see see a flashback of Gautham playing with his mother.
b) Gautham sees himself in the kid and decides to go to Goa hoping that he will get closer to his parents.

4. In the same scene the kid's mother says a dialog off screen "Ekkadiki Paripothunav ra ?" referring to her child. Where at the same time Gautham answers "Goa" to the ticket issuer. No one can write this type of scene in TFI. Unless he is Sukumar.

There might be many such episodes which I might have missed. But I must surmise, Nenokkadine is one of the best Telugu Film Ever made.

Here's an interview by Rajamouli. Sukumar and Rajamouli do discuss all the above points. Do watch it.

Update : 2014
This tool was primarily inspired by a PowerPoint presentation titled "Automatic Salary Review" that my dad showed me way long back (may be in 2007). So, I tried to re-implement it for web browser in 2012 while I was still a student. Now that, I started to earn. The original PPT kind of made sense. So, I modified it accordingly, making it inline with the original version.

PS. I do not mean to convey that you should be satisfied with your salary. It's just for fun

Anger, disgust, fear, happiness, sadness and surprise - everyone ought to have these emotions one time or the other. 2012 (just like any other year) was a year that repeats the above set time and time again reminding the essence of life - What ever happens just move on and put your best - always. With open hands I welcome 2013. Happy New Year !!!

In the past few days my conscious and subconscious mind was occupied by nothing but the Bat Sign. After much anticipation and wait for the exhilarating film of 2012, The Dark Knight Rises is actually more than just epic!
